Luke

Luke, 3 years old, reads a simple, pattern book that he and Kristyn made on the computer together.

Luke, 3 years old, reads Baby.  It is one of the first simple pattern books that he knows how to read.

Luke, 3 years old, reads a more complex pattern book.  Although he makes some errors, he is showing some good strategies of a developing reader.

Luke, 3 1/2 years old, reads three of his favorite books.  He has read 1000 books.

The New Baby
Luke, 4 1/2 years old, reads The New Baby for the first time.  Even though he comes across some challenging parts, Luke reads most of the text accurately.  He demonstrates good strategies for figuring out the challenging parts.

Luke, almost 5 years old, reads a favorite book, The Three Billy Goats Gruff.  He has read over 2,500 books.
