Eli

Eli, 3 years old, reads In the Shopping Cart.  He points and reads as he figures out this simple pattern book.

Eli reads In our Classroom and Look at the Lizard.  He uses both strategies of self correcting and rereading while he reads two of his favorite books.

Eli demonstrates reading his word cards.  Eli first read these words in his books.  Now he shows how he can also read them in isolation.

Eli, 3 years old, works hard reading Big and Little.  Big and Little is a more complicated pattern book with some challenging vocabulary.

Eli has read 1,000 books.  He reads three of his favorite books:  Look at Danny, Little Chimp, and Here Comes Little Chimp.

Eli, almost 4 years old, has read 1,000 books.  He is reading his word cards.  These words have come from the books that he has already read.

Eli, 5 years old, reads two of his favorite books, Nick's Glasses and The Toytown Race Car.  He has read 2, 120 books.
